The World Blogmap
Saturday, April 26, 2003

Mikel Maron's The World as a Blog combines the GIS ICBM from blogs pinging weblog.com with the Blue Marble to produce a real time world-map display of postings, popping up the short-summary teasers pinned to a dot as each post registers.

Someone called it "eavesdropping on the planet" and it is pretty fascinating to watch -- I'm looking forward to the next big blogerati conference to see the ripples of geoURL-aware blogs as they follow the keynotes.

If Mikel is listening, here's my two bits for the wishlist: Could we trace the trackbacks from a post as a thin blue line back to the source article?
