Practice And Alternatives

There is no practice which is `the best way'. That which you find most valuable is what will yield the best results. If this means that you stick with zazen 24 hours a day, that is excellent. If this means that you sit before the television and watch reruns of `Gilligan's Island', that is excellent. If you feel that a particular activity leads you to greater enjoyment and less suffering, please follow it.

After reading many tomes which stress restriction and asceticism as means to enlightenment, I suggest here an alternative for those of you who see these as too extreme ...
